I'm a new critic. Have been enjoying listening to the music posted, which is of generally of a surprisingly high standard.

It may just be me but I can't see anywhere where it says how many pennies I've earned for reviewing, what the minimum payout is, when that happens..... etc.

Has anyone ever been paid out from this site ? I also review songs at "slicethepie" which definitely does pay out, has hoped to use both sites for the variety but having doubts now..... comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks. However, it says allow 3-5 days to be credited. 3-5 days from when ? Surely you don't send a credit to Paypal every time a review is written ? So, when is payment made, weekly, monthly, at a certain level of earnings ?

Where do I see what I have been credited for my reviews ? How do I know what has been sent to my Paypal account ?

We try and process payments as fast as possible, but we "manually" read each and every post to insure that they are indeed "constructive", and meet the required criteria, for us, as well as the Artist's sake.

We say 3 to 5 days, but it depends on the volume of reviews. It is usually sooner, but please don't hold us to that!

We try and wait at least a day or two so we can transfer a "lump sum" to cover the reviews that you've done. Who knows, once you get started, you may not stop listening for a few days! At least, that is what we hope. (You've got a great start... keep it coming!)

You should receive an email notice from Paypal that you have received a payment from SongCritic.com, and that is it. You get to start over again!

Songcritic. Many thanks. Received a Paypel payment. I'm really surprised that you don't make us wait until we've reached a certain levels of earnings. This is a competitive advantage you have over other sites, you should be shouting this from the roof-tops.... or at least from the FAQ pages !

It's NOT just Glen that is unsure about Earnings!!! - Why can't I see what I have accrued? How do you know my PayPal details at this point? Wouldn't it be better if I could see payment related stuff in my personal info?

You bring up some valid questions, and I will do my best to answer them.

As I stated earlier, we review each and every "review" to make sure that they are indeed valid. We just refuse to reward un-constructive reviews. This is not only for the Artist's sake, but other Critics also. Fair is fair.

We distribute "rewards" in almost "real time". For example, let's say you, Biggsy", review 6 tunes over a 2 day period. We read all of your reviews, calculate their value, and go directly to Paypal to send you your reward.

As for your Paypal info, it is simply the email address that you have on file with SongCritic.com.

I know the "FAQ's" leave much to be desired, but we hope we are improving as the site gets bigger and more popular. These kind of posts are a huge help for everyone, including us!

However, Paypal took $0.25 for the fees so I have zero buck

I have sent an email to Paypal about this issue, and I will post as soon as they respond.

I have a feeling that it may have to do with the exchange rate (and our sinking U.S. Dollar), but I am not certain.

i'm new here in this amazing site and i wanted to know how would i know that i get paid for each review i am writing or am i really get paid for each review?
is the review has to be more than 50 words as a condition to get paid or this is just recommendation?

First off, you do get paid! All info about our rewards can be found at http://www.songcritic.com/payback.html .

As far as the 50 word minimum, we do not manually "count" each word, but normally a constructive review will easily surpass this.
We are very strict on making sure that each review is CONSTRUCTIVE to be eligible for rewards. This is for the Artists sake.
